It's 7ish AM and I'm awake. Why, you ask? Because when Afghanistan calls, you get up, even if you're still really tired! At least it's not 3am! I was actually coherent for today's phone call :)
This post if for Daddy, and hopefully he'll have a chance to check his e-mail and take a quick look at our blog like he said he might get to.
This is what Harry looks like right now. His penguin blanket is his best friend.
This is your birthday present :) Ya, I know I'm a little early for September, but there is a good story to go along with it. For now, you'll just have to wonder about what's inside ;) Trust me, you'll LOVE it!
Harry got into the craft room the other day and got a hold of a box of paper flowers... It was all fine and good until he...
...tried to eat one!
Then the camera went off and the flowers were saved and the craft room door got locked.
Harry and I took Aunt Lissa to an ASU Baseball game that we got her tickets to for her birthday. Harry had a lot of fun. Mostly watching the guy behind us eat peanuts and crushing his Fruit Loops on the ground with his his shoes, but hey, it's still fun! The game was against BYU, so we didn't mind too much that he was cheering for both teams!
I promise I'm not just trying to make him look cool! He'll only keep his hat on if it's backwards :)
Here are my other two favorite guys in ties. I made Harry a little tie out of a men's tie that I got at Kohls for like 5 bucks. It turned out really cute :) He looked like such a big boy! This was at the Gila Valley Temple open house. He was really good when we were inside the Temple. He kept trying to look at himself in the mirror in the sealing room and discovered that the Celestial room had a good echo :) I tried to keep the echoing to a minimum! I think his favorite part though was running around outside. After being cooped up in the car, that's pretty much all he was interested in!
Harry and I went on a lunch date to Cafe Rio last week. It was sooooo good! I know I will forever be thankful to the Kolbabas for taking us there the first time!! This is what Harry does when you say "show me your food!" That's cheese crisp by the way! It's really funny that he does that, since he's 1 and all, but in the next few years, we should probably teach him to not do it in public :)
When I ask Harry "Where's Daddy?" he'll either point to one of the pictures on the wall or pick something up, hold it up to his ear like a phone and say "Hi Dada". It's really funny. When I ask Harry "What does a puppy say?" he goes "woo woo woo". When I ask Harry "Where's the bunny?" he takes his hand and makes it "hop" (think little bunny foo foo style) and he goes to the back door to look for Marshmallow.
We sure do have a cute, funny, and smart little boy! And it's only the beginning of his silly antics! I know he misses you and it's crazy to me how much he is like you completely by genetics! I'm sure once he is around you every day he'll turn into a full fledged little you!
We love you, we miss you, stay safe, have fun, be good and tell Pink we said hi :)
God bless America!
