The mornin' sun is shinin' like a red rubber ball

If you now have that stuck in your head, I'm proud of you for knowing the song!

Last Saturday my sis Melissa, buddy Nicole, Harry and I went to a friend's baby's 1st Birthday party.  Funny story...we thought the party started at 2pm, so we left with plenty of time to drive out there, got there a little after 2, rang the door bell, they invited us in...and we were the only ones there...  It was at the grandparent's house, and the nice grandma said "Come on in, have a seat, they're not here yet, but should be here soon...since the party starts at 4....."  We looked at each other and all kinda said "Oh..."  What a nice grandma to let us come in anyways and let us hang out for 2 hours!!  If someone showed up at my house 2 hours early for a party, I'm pretty sure I would panic!  Instead, we said thanks for the offer, we have some shopping to do, and went to kill time at Target :)  Thank heaven for Target!

A couple hours later, we went back to the part and there were people there this time!!  Yay!!  The invitation mentioned something about swimming, but none of us came to swim.  As more and more people arrived, there were lots of kids who pretty much all went strait to the pool.  Soon, they were all on the inside, and my poor kid was the only one on the outside. SAD!

Poor little kid!  He looks so pathetic! :) He stood on the outside of the fence watching, smiling, laughing and clapping!!  The poor guy didn't even know that he wasn't part of the fun! Luckily he soon discovered the big red ball (and the smaller purple one!).
The big red ball kept him entertained for a loooong time!  He had so much fun carrying it, rolling it, drumming on it, throwing it and even trying to kick it.  It even got him to go on the grass, which he usually freaks out about!
Good job to the red ball for wearing Harry out!!  Check out those rosey cheeks and funky sweaty hair!  Maybe we'll have to get him a big ball of his very own...and some grass to go with it!!
