Harry Hearts Cows

Harry loves cows!  We live right by a field of them and EVERY time we drive down the street, he looks out his little window and says "Here they come!" and "See their house" and "Hi cows!".  It's pretty cute!  So last Saturday, Lissa and I decided to take him to a dairy farm.

How could you not love these little faces??

Superstition Farms in Mesa is a dairy farm that does tours.  We we went on a hay ride around the farm while the farmer guy told us all about what they do there.  He was pretty funny!  It was like the Jungle Cruise at Disneyland, but about cows!  Harry LOVED seeing all of the cows (over 2,000!).  He kept pointing at thing and saying "Look!  Look Mommy!  Look Lissa!".  It was fun to see him so excited.

After the hay ride, we got to feed a bunch of their rescue animals.  We fed goats, sheep, a horse, a donkey, and baby cows.  The last time we were in a petting zoo type setting, Harry was terrified to go inside.  He just wanted to stand outside and look at them, so I thought he might be scared to actually feed the animals, but he wasn't at all!  He put his hands out like farmer guy told him to, farmer guy dumped the food in his hands, and he held them up for the animals to eat!  He wanted to do it again and again!  After almost everyone had left, he kept picking up carrots off the ground and wanting to feed the horse and donkey.  The horse didn't want him to stop!

Lissa bought a bottle to feed the baby cows.  It was super cute to see them eat and man they can suck down a bottle FAST!!  Harry thought it was a lot of fun to feed the baby cows their baba.

The best part of the day was when Harry got to hold a chicken.  I've never even held a chicken!  Farmer guy told him to give the chicken a hug and he stood there and held it all by himself.  Then he said the chicken was happy now (since hugs make everyone happy)!  I was so proud of him for trying everything!

(Thank goodness Lissa had her cell phone out!)
He's been talking about our trip every day since then.  He rattles off his list of things we did and keeps asking "Go see cows?".  He was even all excited to go to Nursery on Sunday and tell "Eekah" (aka Jerica, the Nursery coordinator) all about his fun day on the farm.  We'll definitely have to go again!

I am so proud of you for blogging! :) We're coming to Phoenix this weekend for a niece's baptism. We won't have a ton of time away from family, but if you're ever free maybe we can say hi! Also, I lost my old phone and therefore don't have your number.
